Here I am playing a diminished (whole/half) line from the root of the bVI chord, which then resolves to V.
I play an octave displacement lick in position and transition into an
ascending diminished sweep arpeggio. The intervallic sequence is
(ascending) tritone, minor 3rd, minor 3rd. I then shift that pattern
up a minor 3rd.
I am often asked about chord voicings. My own approach is usually, very simple. In the tune Icarus, for example, there are hits after the B section (0:55sec.)
