In most instances you can get a more accurate impression about a
person judging by their taste in art, music, or literature, than you
would by simply asking them.

The albums which hold a special place in my heart
(in no particular order):

Jimi Hendrix:  Band of Gypsies, Axis Bold As Love
D'Angelo:  Voodoo
Buckethead:  Colma
Jim Hall/Bill Evans:  Undercurrent
Bill Evans Trio:   At The Village Vanguard
Jeff Buckley:  Grace
Prince:  N.E.W.S.
Modest Mouse:  Good News for People Who Love Bad News
Jeff Beck:  Truth
Radiohead:  Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief, Kid A etc.

I believe that ones favorite albums are a reflection of their
association with the music.  The emotional attachment to a cd is as
much about the memories associated with the music, as it is the music
itself, if not more so.

My drummer on the most recent tour in Nepal is the singer and pianist for the group Mouse Kills Tiger. I heard their new album while waiting to board a plane in New Delhi.

Download their album for free here
